Siglo III - Review by Monet

AH! What a weekend; for the lover of life there is nothing better than the company offriends and the ambience of a fine household. And so I found myself gathering stock for a weekend's sojourn into the Adirondacks with my former comrades-in-arms to partake of all the splendours of the region.
The food - spit roasted lamb

The wine - a rare Chateau de Chassolie ('78) among others
The cigar - the Siglo III

This masterpiece has been the shining star of my humidor cigar for a decade and has become like an old and treasured friend. As I recall, it was my first Cohiba. Far from subtle, yet sublime. Vigorous construction and a gratifying draw, right until the heartbreaking conclusion. The taste is complex; coffeebeans and dark chocolate. A fine tanner could have prepared the rather surprising finish. Well worth running the sanctions, or, in my case sending an associate.

Another exquisite Cuban number. A mild introduction, opening up after a while offering a medium-bodied, slightly nutty resonance. I detected an aging to this cigar, possibly old leather, very comfortable in texture. Not aggressive, more 'dinner with your favorite professor'. An pleasant, though not overly adventurous cigar.

A highly toxic cigar - by the time I'd finished it my tastebuds were so badly shot, I had to gargle gasoline to make sure they still worked.
An excellent cigar if you're leading a group of blind people through the jungle, oither wise best left to winos.

A great gift for the boss as he'll think you worship him without realising you're trying to rip out his voicebox.

I'll be trying one of these again, whe I end up in hell.
