AH! What a weekend; for the lover of life there is nothing better than the company offriends and the ambience of a fine household. And so I found myself gathering stock for a weekend's sojourn into the Adirondacks with my former comrades-in-arms to partake of all the splendours of the region.
The food - spit roasted lamb
The wine - a rare Chateau de Chassolie ('78) among others
The cigar - the Siglo III
This masterpiece has been the shining star of my humidor cigar for a decade and has become like an old and treasured friend. As I recall, it was my first Cohiba. Far from subtle, yet sublime. Vigorous construction and a gratifying draw, right until the heartbreaking conclusion. The taste is complex; coffeebeans and dark chocolate. A fine tanner could have prepared the rather surprising finish. Well worth running the sanctions, or, in my case sending an associate.
